Childhood neurological diseases constitute a heterogeneous group, where cardiovascular comorbidity may be associated and complicates the interventional process. These diseases constitute a serious health problem in Cuba and the world. The development of physical rehabilitation programs for patients with these diseases at the tertiary health level is insufficient. The objective of this review work is to describe the methodological guidelines in physical rehabilitation for childhood neurological diseases and cardiovascular comorbidity at the tertiary health level. Methods: The literature was systematically reviewed through the PubMed / Medline and SciELO databases, from January 2016 to December 2020. Results: Nine scientific articles were analyzed that detailed the essential requirements for physical and cardiovascular rehabilitation. The methodological guidelines were specifically organized for the professionals to whom this proposal is directed, the patients who may benefit, the conditions for the prescription of physical activity, the consultations to be carried out, the components of a cardiovascular rehabilitation program, with objectives general and specific at each stage, the activities to achieve those objectives and the algorithm to follow. Conclusions: This proposal contributes to optimizing the rehabilitative treatment and the quality of life of patients with childhood neurological diseases and cardiovascular comorbidity in tertiary care centers, which will provide biopsychosocial benefits.
