Abstract

Favored by scientific-technological development, communications, informatics and the fragmentation of Medicine into dissimilar specialties, in the modern world the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach is being imposed for the increasingly personalized care of health problems. people's health. One of the branches of Medicine that has shown the greatest advances in this vision is Oncology and Minimally Invasive Cancer Surgery. A systematic review of the literature was carried out, where the electronic databases Pubmed/Medline, SciELO and Scopus were consulted. Articles published mainly from 2016 to February 2022 were searched. Examples where the tumor staging, the development of minimally invasive oncology surgery techniques, the study of prostate, lung and thyroid cancer, show examples of the accelerated development of an inter and transdisciplinary vision in order to substantially improve the medical care of patients. The multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach in the field of Oncology and Minimally Invasive Oncology Surgery shows transcendental advances in contemporary times. Their presence is unavoidable to provide better holistic care to cancer patients.
