Introduction: PD Parkinson's disease requires treatments at the height of scientific and technological advances. The Interactive Virtual Reality System. BTS Nirvana (SIRV. BTS. Nirvana), combines motor and mental relearning.
Objective: The evaluate the usefulness and behavior of (SIRV. BTS. Nirvana) in patients with PD.
Methods: a sample of 40 patients was selected, the type of study is quasi-experiment, made up of two groups, of 20 patients each, one control and the other experimental, with the same inclusion criteria: limitation in the ranges of amplitude and joint mobility, difficulties in coordinating active movements, as well as neuropsychological disorders (attention deficit, working memory and executive function), with a time of evolution of the disease up to 10 years; To all of them, the conventional defectological program was applied for 8 weeks, one hour a day; The experimental group was incorporated into the (SIRV. BTS. Nirvana), for a time of 30 minutes, three times a week.
Results: the analysis was carried out with the external evaluators, the Comprehensive Psychomotor Assessment Laboratory (LEIS) and the Neuropsychologist quantitatively, beginning and end; The results will be compared with the help of the Excel statistical package, determining the average of each variable and the degree of significance with the T Test.
Conclusions: the utility and behavior of the SIRV was evidenced during therapy. BTS NIRVANA model, in patients, obtaining significant improvement in the parameters we measured, promoting increased independence in activities and better quality of life.
