Recomendaciones de bioseguridad en quirófano durante la pandemia COVID- 19. Experiencia en el CIMEQ
Abstract
La pandemia por COVID-19 ha puesto a prueba los sistemas de salud de todo el mundo y continúa desafiando a nuestro país. Es nuestro deber seguir tratando a los pacientes que no puedan esperar cirugías electivas y, también disminuir las posibilidades de contagio de todo el equipo de salud expuesto a la enfermedad, es por eso que las áreas críticas como la unidad quirúrgica se deben preparar para evitar la contaminación del personal de atención médica y el entorno. Este trabajo se realizó con el objetivo de objetivo de mostrar aspectos de revisión bibliográficas sobre las medidas de bioseguridad para la unidad quirúrgica, implementadas en el mundo y en Cuba, durante la pandemia, especialmente las implementadas en el Centro de Investigaciones Médico Quirúrgicas, así como sus resultados. Se realizó revisión de artículos científicos publicados en las bases de datos MEDLINE, The Cochranre Library Plus, Scopus y SciELo, entre 2020 y 2021.Teniendo en cuenta los artículos relacionados con las medidas de seguridad y protección en el área quirúrgica. También se tuvo en cuenta el protocolo de actuación diseñado en nuestra institución para el manejo de los casos quirúrgicos , sospechosos o positivos de COVID-19. Con el cumplimiento de las medidas de protección y seguridad epidemiológicas se logra una reducción de los contagios para el personal sanitario y disminuye el número de casos infectados durante el período perioperatorio de los pacientes. La epidemia de SARS-CoV-2 ha tenido un impacto negativo en el desarrollo de la actividad quirúrgica pero nos ha fortalecido en el enfrentamiento de situaciones extremas, como la actual pandemia.
