Importancia de la férula radiologica en la planificacion de la rehabilitacion protésica implantológica
Abstract
El empleo de implantes dentales para tratar el edentulismo total y parcial se ha convertido en una modalidad terapéutica perfectamente integrada en la Odontología restauradora, pero es frecuente observar con determinada periodicidad a pacientes, quienes acuden a consulta con tratamientos implantológicos fracasados, una de cuyas causas más comunes es la utilización incorrecta e irracional de los medios de diagnósticos y la planificación incorrecta de este tipo de tratamiento. Motivo por el cual se realizó una revisión bibliográfica con el interés de evaluar la importancia de la férula radiológica en la planificación protésica sobre implante. Durante la planificación es de gran valor el uso de la férula, la cual nos permite colocar los implantes en la situación más conveniente, lo que facilita enormemente la elaboración de la prótesis, en función de la disponibilidad ósea, así como la higiene, procurando que la forma y tamaño de las piezas sean los más adecuados.
