Atención educativa para la apraxia constructiva en niños con secuelas neurológicas

Abstract

Introducción. Una lesión del sistema nervioso puede traer consigo alteraciones en las capacidades físicas, psicológicas y motoras del organismo humano impidiendo la ejecución de actividades funcionales y dentro de ella, la apraxia constructiva, afectando, por tanto, la realización de diferentes actividades escolares y sociales. Métodos. Se aplicó la etapa de orientación espacial a un grupo de 10 niños con apraxia constructiva con dos meses de tratamiento en el Centro Internacional de Restauración Neurológica, donde se desarrollaron actividades que tenían como objetivo compensar esta disfunción cognitiva. Para evaluar a estos niños se les aplicó la escala de apraxia del Departamento de Defectología, antes y después del tratamiento Resultados. El componente apráxico mejoró notablemente, arrojando resultados significativos en cuanto a trazos, escrituras, reproducción de modelos y socialización. Conclusiones. La etapa de orientación espacial aplicada influyó positivamente en la compensación de la apraxia constructiva, estimulando su actividad escolar.
