Calidad de vida en la Incontinencia urinaria femenina

Abstract

El entendimiento de la salud como un estado de completo bienestar físico, psíquico y social, no solamente como la ausencia de enfermedad y dolencia; el extraordinario desarrollo de nuevos productos farmacológicos y de tecnología sanitaria, han propiciado el interés por la medida de la calidad de vida. La incontinencia urinaria constituye un problema de salud que deteriora la calidad de vida, limita la autonomía y repercute en el ámbito psicosocial, laboral, afectivo y sexual. Al igual que otras muchas afecciones, provoca sufrimiento físico y psíquico en quienes la padecen...Se realizó análisis de contenido de documentos, que incluyó artículos originales y de revisión publicados en el periodo entre el año 2004 y el año 2019.. Se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos de Pubmed, SciELO, Hinari, Cochrane y Clinical Key, utilizando las palabras clave: calidad de vida relacionada con salud; cuestionarios de calidad de vida; incontinencia urinaria. Se identificaron y revisaron 50 artículos, de los que fueron útiles 22, así como libros de textos, monografías de varias revistas y tesis doctorales que permitieron el análisis histórico lógico de la evolución de la definición.: La incontinencia urinaria afecta de manera importante la calidad de vida, ocasiona sufrimiento, ansiedad, y depresión. Además, limita la esfera social, afectiva y sexual de la mujer que la padece.
