Evaluación morfométrica de los folículos esplénicos en ratas alcohólicas adolescentes inoculadas con vacuna Heberbiovac HB

Abstract

Introducción. El alcoholismo es una enfermedad crónica incurable que en la actualidad se ha incrementado entre jóvenes y adolescentes, representando un grave problema de salud para la humanidad. El consumo excesivo de alcohol afecta a casi todo el organismo incluyendo al sistema inmune, constituyendo además una droga portero que favorece el consumo de otras drogas. Métodos. Se utilizaron 58 ratas adolescentes de 30 días de nacidas y del sexo masculino, las cuales fueron divididas en dos grupos: tratadas durante un mes y durante dos meses. Ambos grupos fueron a su vez divididos en tres subgrupos: experimental tratado con etanol y vacuna Heberbiovac-HB; un grupo control positivo tratado con agua y vacuna y un grupo control negativo al que se le suministró agua y solución salina en lugar de la vacuna. Al finalizar la experiencia los animales fueron sometidos a eutanasia obteniéndose cortes histológicos del bazo, que fueron coloreados con hematoxilina y eosina y estudiados mediante el sistema morfométrico MADIP. Resultados. Las áreas centrales y totales de los folículos de las ratas experimentales fueron similares a los encontrados en las ratas controles negativas; sin embargo, presentaron volúmenes mayores que los mostrados por los folículos de las ratas controles positivos. Conclusiones. Es posible que en esta etapa del ciclo vital el etanol posea un efecto estimulante sobre este órgano.
