Desarrollo de las actividades manipulativas en personas con enfermedad de Parkinson

Abstract

Introducción. Atendiendo a las afecciones motoras que presentan las personas con enfermedad de Parkinson, así como la severidad de las manifestaciones y al grado de incapacidad en la realización de las actividades manipulativas, el tratamiento va dirigido a mejorar las alteraciones o al menos mantener o prolongar la funcionalidad del enfermo durante el  mayor tiempo posible. Métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de manera intencional, se trabajó con una muestra de 40 pacientes con enfermedad de Parkinson, los cuales presentaron los mismos criterios de inclusión, con un tiempo de evolución entre dos a cinco años aproximadamente, seis frecuencias semanales de una hora diaria y un tiempo de estadía en nuestro centro entre cuatro y ocho semanas. Resultados. El análisis de los resultados de este estudio se realizó en el departamento de defectología, (tratando de colocar y retirar las clavijas finas del clavijero 10 x10), con una repetición en 30 segundos tanto inicial como final; para comparar los mismos aplicamos el promedio, sacando la media y como método estadística la Prueba T. Conclusiones. Al concluir la investigación las personas con enfermedad de Parkinson, obtuvieron mejoría significativa en las actividades manipulativas.
