Pseudotumor inflamatorio de la órbita. Presentación de un caso
Abstract
El pseudotumor inflamatorio de la órbita es una enfermedad que se caracteriza por la presencia de síntomas y signos inflamatorios orbitarios sin causa evidente local o sistémica. Se reporta como la tercera causa de oftalmoplejía dolorosa, pudiendo afectar cualquier tejido presente en la cavidad orbitaria. La tomografía computarizada multicorte (TCM) y la resonancia magnética (RMN) constituyen pilares fundamentales en el diagnóstico. Se presenta un caso de una mujer de 65 años que por el tiempo transcurrido sin el tratamiento específico evolucionó hacia la ceguera total del ojo lesionado.Downloads
