Uso del ozono en el tratamiento de diferentes afecciones bucales
Abstract
Cuba cuenta con un reconocido prestigio dentro del campo de la
“Ozonoterapia”. El aceite ozonizado ha sido ampliamente utilizado con magníficos resultados en enfermedades bucales por su efecto antiinflamatorio, analgésico cicatrizante, bactericida, virucida, y fungicida. El oleozón es especialmente efectivo frente a los microorganismos de la placa dentobacteriana. El contacto íntimo de los microorganismos que conforman la placa y la microbiota subgingival explican la reacción inflamatoria que compromete el epitelio de la encía, el tejido conectivo subyacente y la
adherencia epitelial. Debido a ello es que su utilización como tratamiento alternativo en paciente portadores de gingivitis crónica, alveolitis, tratamientos endodónticos, daños del tejido pulpar y conductos radiculare puede constituir un tratamiento efectivo, y llegar a ser una terapéutica de elección en las diferentes enfermedades bucales.
