Factores de riesgo obstétricos y quirúrgicos de disfunciones del suelo pélvico en mujeres de edad mediana

Abstract

Introducción. Las disfunciones del suelo pélvico (DSP) son frecuentes en la mujer y constituyen un importante problema sanitario, social y económico que afecta en gran medida la vida cotidiana de las personas que la padecen, limitando su libertad individual y disminuyendo su autoestima: de ahí que constituyó un propósito el determinar los factores de riesgo obstétricos y quirúrgicos de las disfunciones de suelo pélvico, en mujeres de edad mediana.
Métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal. Se incluyeron 300 pacientes divididas en dos grupos: pacientes y controles. Se evaluaron las variables: edad, tipo de disfunciones de suelo pélvico, antecedentes obstétricos, intervenciones quirúrgicas. Se utilizaron frecuencias absolutas y relativas y se realizó una regresión logística incluyendo las variables que se consideraron factores de riesgo.
Resultados. La media de edad fue de 49.7 años. El 34.7 %, 20,7 % y el 18 % de las pacientes con disfunción del suelo pélvico tenía incontinencia urinaria, mixta y fecal respectivamente. Existieron diferencias estadísticas entre los grupos con cirugías de colon, recto y vejiga, histerectomías, episiotomías, partos vaginales.
Conclusiones. Las disfunciones del suelo pélvico en las pacientes estudiadas fueron: la incontinencia urinaria, mixta y fecal. La presencia de estas afecciones se asoció a factores de riesgo como: intervenciones quirúrgicas sobre órganos pélvicos, la episiotomía y los partos vaginales como factores de riesgo.
