Esplenectomía laparoscópica en pacientes con enfermedades hematológicas benignas. Reporte preliminar

Abstract

Introducción: La esplenectomía laparoscópica por enfermedades hematológicas es la operación por laparoscopía más frecuente sobre órganos sólidos. Métodos: Se presenta el resultado obtenido en cuatro pacientes del sexo masculino, con edad promedio de 30 años (25 años a 47 años) en que se realizó esplenectomía laparoscópica en el Centro de Investigaciones Médico Quirúrgicas. Resultados: El tiempo operatorio promedio fue de 132 min (45 min a 210 min).No fue necesario transfusión de plaquetas en los pacientes involucrados en el estudio y ninguno presentó bazo accesorio. No hubo necesidad de conversión a cirugía abierta y no se presentó ninguna complicación posoperatoria. La mortalidad en esta serie fue de cero. La estadía posoperatoria fue de 2,5 días promedio (2 a 4 días). Conclusiones: La esplenectomía por vía laparoscópica es una alternativa segura en pacientes con enfermedades hematológicas benignas.
