Conocimiento sobre fotodaño cutáneo en adultos con riesgo

Abstract

Introducción. Las fotodermatosis afectan a un elevado número de pacientes, por lo que son consideradas unas de las enfermedades cutáneas de mayor  incidencia.
Métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal  en 35 combatientes de un Destacamento de Tropas Guardafronteras, a los que se aplicó un cuestionario, para evaluar los conocimientos que poseen sobre fotodaño cutáneo.
Resultados. Predominaron los pacientes con fototipos cutáneos II y III y la exposición solar prolongada en los horarios de mayor radiación ultravioleta en el último año. La mayoría mostró conocimientos altos sobre los factores medioambientales, alcanzando conocimientos medios en las áreas de etiología y manifestaciones clínicas, aunque no muestran actitudes positivas en materia de fotoprotección,  no solo en las actividades laborales sino en las sociales y recreativas.
Conclusiones. Se constata un elevado riesgo de padecer enfermedades cutáneas producidas por el sol ante personas que en su mayoría están desprotegidos de manera natural frente a las radiaciones ultravioletas farfdfy realizan actividades laborales al aire libre sin protección solar, aun cuando poseen conocimientos sobre fotodaño cutáneo y fotoprotección no adoptan actitudes preventivas
