Caracterización de la actividad científica en el personal de enfermería de un centro de salud

Abstract

Introducción: La investigación es un proceso que, mediante la

aplicación del método científico, procura obtener información relevante y fidedigna, para entender, verificar, corregir o aplicar en el conocimiento. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, transversal, durante julio a diciembre de 2010, en una muestra de 40 enfermeros, 31 licenciados y 9 enfermeros generales. Se estudiaron las variables edad, sexo, calificación profesional, años de graduado, y años laborando en el centro. Resultados: La edad promedio fue de 38,3 ± 8,6 años para ambos grupos Sobresalió el sexo femenino (72,5 %), y la categoría de licenciadas (77,5 %) La media de años de servicio fue 19,5, y 11,5 años laborando en el centro. Solo las licenciadas participaron en proyectos de investigación como autor (25,9%). Las enfermeras generales presentaron mayor dificultad con la metodología de la investigación y publicaciones de trabajos. Existió experiencia y estabilidad laboral, por la dependencia entre el tiempo de servicio con el ejercicio de graduado.
Conclusiones. Las enfermeras generales mostraron tener mayor dificultad con la metodología de la investigación. y las publicaciones respecto a las
licenciadas en enfermería.
