Abstract

Uno de los elementos fundamentales en el tratamiento del abuso sexual es la necesidad de identificar los mecanismos idóneos para intervenir en el tratamiento a la víctima. En Cuba tales mecanismos se concretan en el actuar de diferentes instituciones entre los que se encuentra el Centro de Protección a Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes el que tiene entre sus cometidos la intervención para prevenir o disminuir, según sea el caso, la victimización en menores de edad que han resultado víctimas de abuso sexual; que se materializa en el proceso de exploración, así como en la atención y tratamiento psicológico y psiquiátrico brindado a las víctimas y su familia.
