Tumor de células granulares de la mama. Presentación de un caso

Abstract

El tumor de células granulares es una lesión bien reconocida de histogénesis controvertida que puede presentarse en diversos sitios del organismo, entre ellos el tejido mamario, tanto femenino como masculino. En esta última localización puede simular clínicamente malignidad, aspecto de gran importancia. Se presenta la descripción de un caso con tumor de células granulares de la mama del sexo femenino, de 40 años de edad con lesión nodular en cuadrante superoexterno de la mama izquierda de 20 mm de diámetro mayor, firme, no desplazable a la palpación, con estudio imagenológico sospechoso de malignidad. Se le realiza biopsia por aspiración con aguja fina cuyo diagnóstico no es concluyente de lo mismo y se sugiere exéresis del nódulo. En biopsia por parafina se define el diagnóstico de tumor de células granulares y se realizan estudios inmunohistoquímicos como proteína S -100 y CD 68. Se concluye que a pesar de ser una lesión de presentación poco frecuente en el tejido mamario, tanto femenino como masculino y simular malignidad, debe tenerse siempre presente en el diagnóstico diferencial de la patología nodular de la mama.
