Factores de riesgo cardiovascular en pacientes con trasplante renal

Abstract

Introducción. El incremento del número de pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica terminal en tratamiento de hemodiálisis y trasplante renal constituye una problemática mundial. El objetivo fue determinar los factores de riesgo y sobrevida en un grupo de estos pacientes. Métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, longitudinal y prospectivo, en 88 pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica terminal que recibieron trasplante renal en el periodo comprendido entre enero de 1999 y diciembre de 2004. Se contempló cada paciente como un caso (población con reposición (n=98), que cumplieron los siguientes criterios. Resultados. En los trasplantados, la hipertensión arterial, la enfermedad cardiovascular, los problemas vasculares y el sangramiento influyeron negativamente en la supervivencia del implante, la dislipidemia mostró efecto protector, la sobrevida del paciente se vio afectada por la enfermedad cardiovascular. Las principales causas básicas de muerte en los paciente s trasplantados fueron las infecciones y la enfermedad cardiovascular. Conclusiones. La enfermedad cardiovascular fue el factor de riesgo que más influyó en la sobrevida del paciente trasplantado renal.
