Solución quirúrgica de la inestabilidad anterior del hombro por la técnica de Bristow-Latarjet

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio longitudinal prospectivo en pacientes adultos mayores de 15 años ingresados en el Hospital General Docente “Comandante Pinares” de San Cristóbal, Pinar del Río, con el diagnóstico de luxación anterior recurrente del hombro operados por la técnica de Bristow-Latarjet en el período comprendido entre septiembre de 2002 hasta abril de 2005, con el objetivo de demostrar la efectividad de la misma. Se demuestra la eficiencia del método quirúrgico empleado, obteniendo un 100 % de resolución de la patología con un escaso número de problemas o complicaciones. Se concluye que la técnica es un método quirúrgico de fácil y rápida instrumentación transoperatoria, que necesita de pocos recursos, disminuye la estadía hospitalaria, precisa en pocos casos de transfusión transoperatoria y tiene resultados excelentes en los casos en que está indicada.
