Espaciador Intersomático Cervical

Abstract

Se realiza un estudio prospectivo de 17 pacientes, de los cuales 14 tienen diagnóstico de mielopatía cervical espondilótica, 1 paciente con diagnóstico de linfoma no Hodking y 2 con inestabilidad post laminectomía. Predominó el sexo masculino y el grupo de 51 a 60 años de edad. El tiempo de evolución promedio entre el comienzo de los síntomas y el proceder quirúrgico fue de 27 meses. Se realizó una evaluación funcional de los pacientes preoperatoria y postoperatoria, utilizando los criterios de la JOA (Asociacion Ortopedica Japonesa) modificados. A todos los pacientes se les realizó corpectomía múltiple, utilizándose como sistema de instrumentación el espaciador Intersomático cervical y fusión. El uso de este sistema de instrumentación constituye una alternativa al injerto óseo en la reconstrucción cervical anterior, ofrece una mayor potencia biomecánica, produce inmediata estabilidad, reduce la toma de injerto iliaco, además de otras ventajas. El tiempo de seguimiento postoperatorio promedio fue de 61.11 meses.
