Infecciones bacterianas en pacientes trasplantados de hígado en el Centro de Investigaciones Médico Quirúrgicas (CIMEQ) entre los años 2002-2005

Abstract

Las infecciones bacterianas asociadas al período post-trasplante se consideran una de las causas más importantes de morbilidad y mortalidad en pacientes a los cuales se les ha practicado un trasplante de hígado. En el CIMEQ durante los años 2002-2005 encontramos una tasa de infección nosocomial bacteriana para este tipo de pacientes del 76%. Las infecciones fueron causadas por bacterias pertenecientes a la familia Enterobacteriaceae y por especies de los géneros Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas y Staphylococcus; los que encontramos asociados a muestras clínicas como drenajes hepáticos, hemocultivos y catéteres endovasculares fundamentalmente. La resistencia antimicrobiana encontrada fue muy alta fundamentalmente frente a los antibióticos de la familia de las cefalosporinas (60%-85%) en cepas Gram negativas y frente a penicilina G (93%) y a cefazolina (43%) en el caso de las cepas Gram positivas.
