Calidad de vida y percepción de salud en mujeres de mediana edad

Abstract

Según la OMS, salud es “un estado de completo bienestar físico, mental y
social, y no solamente la ausencia de afecciones o enfermedades” y calidad de vida es: "la percepción que un individuo tiene de su lugar en la existencia, en el contexto de la cultura y del sistema de valores en los que vive y en relación con sus objetivos, sus expectativas, sus normas, sus inquietudes. Con el aumento de la expectativa de vida en la población y en especial en la mujer, esta puede vivir muchos años luego del proceso climatérico, por lo que se preocupa de mantener su integridad física para lograr la realización de las múltiples funciones que desempeña en todas las esferas de la vida, con la calidad necesaria. Debido a ello nos propusimos abordar este tema, enfatizando sobre la influencia de los determinantes sociales en la percepción de salud y la calidad de vida de las mujeres de edad mediana.
