¿Qué hacer ante un hemoneumotórax espontáneo?

Abstract

El hemoneumotórax espontáneo es un problema grave y a la vez raro de salud, que puede aparecer entre el 1 -12 %, de los seres húmanos y afecta de manera principal al sexo masculino, produciendo un cuadro clínico de hipovolemia. Se realiza un trabajo de revisión del hemoneumotórax espontáneo, por el equipo de cirugía torácica de la institución y se reportan algunas consideraciones sobre qué conducta tomar en estos pacientes. En la actualidad, su manejo, es muy controvertido: la selección de los pacientes y cuándo se debe realizar una conducta quirúrgica, con especial énfasis en los que logran estabilizarse después de un proceder quirúrgico, como la pleurotomía, en donde el sangramiento es controlado. El tratamiento quirúrgico, debe ser considerado como un paso inicial al tratamiento de los hemoneumotórax espontáneo, disminuyendo así la morbilidad y estadía intrahospitalaria, utilizando como proceder terapéutico la cirugía torácica videoasistida, que parece ser la más aceptada, en relación a la toracotomía.
