Eficacia clínica del uso de lidocaina al 2% en anestesia espinal subaracnoidea

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio experimental, que incluyó a 100 pacientes de uno u otro sexo que ingresaron en el Hospital Universitario «General Calixto García», en el período comprendido entre febrero del 2004 y marzo del 2006 que se intervinieron por patologías de hemiabdomen inferior y miembros inferiores con criterios para utilizar anestesia espinal subaracnoidea. Los pacientes se dividieron al azar en dos grupos, el grupo A recibió Lidocaína al 2% isobárica más Fentanilo 25 μgr y el Grupo B Lidocaína al 5% en dextrosa al 7,5% hiperbárica más Fentanilo 25 μgr. La lidocaína al 2% produjo menos bloqueo motor, menos cambios hemodinámicos, una recuperación motora más rápida y una mejor calidad analgésica comparada con la Lidocaína al 5%. No existieron diferencias significativas en la aparición de reacciones secundarias. El grado de aceptación de la calidad anestésica fue superior en los pacientes en los cuales se utilizó Lidocaína al 2% aunque no resultó significativo.
