Abstract

La Neuropsicología es una rama de la ciencia psicológica, cuyo objeto de estudio es la organización cerebral de los procesos psíquicos superiores y sus alteraciones producidas por lesiones locales de la corteza cerebral en el hombre. Constituye una ciencia de gran valor para el diagnóstico, evolución y rehabilitación de los pacientes con lesiones cerebrales. Estas razones nos llevaron a hacer una revisión de sus aspectos fundamentales y reflejarlas en este artículo para el quehacer de los profesionales interesados en el tema.
